Why Does Houston Have All the Crazy People?
Why does Houston seem to be the repository of all the crazy people? Why couldn't that lady astronaut be from somewhere else?

Um, because that is a self-contradicting question. By definition, all astronauts are based at JSC (here in Houston). There would be no reason for her to be from anywhere else. Come on Jim, I thought you were smarter than that.
Her bio indicates that she was born and raised in the Washington DC/Maryland area (if that is any consolation).
I honestly did not know all US astronauts were based out of Houston, by definition. I thought the could be based in California, Florida or Mississippi or any number of NASA facilities.
Besides, thinking I was smart shows how smart you really are. ;-)
