One thing that concerns me from time-to-time is being in a situation where power is not available. Reware has some interesting solutions to the problem: solar panel backpacks. They are reported to be durable and rugged which would be necessary for any backpack that I use. I see this as a trend in portable electronics or the future when extended blackouts may be the rule.
The downside is that they are pricey ($199.95). I think some other portable solar panels would likely be more economical. Just a guess.
