Scientist: Inject Sulfur into Air to Battle Global Warming

Scientist: Inject Sulfur into Air to Battle Global Warming

I wonder if this would count as an offset to "carbon neutrality"?

Great questions!! I would say that pumping sulfur into the atmosphere would not smell bad nor cause acid rain. First, I don't think the sulfur would be in high enough concentrations to be smelly, nor would the it return to ground level in a short amount of time. Also, I believe acid rain is caused with the interaction of SO2 (sulfur dioxide) and not elemental sulfur.
